Tylan® Injection

The injectable form of Tylan is used in cattle and swine to treat respiratory disease and certain other ailments.

For beef

In beef cattle, Tylan Injection is approved for the treatment of:

  • Bovine respiratory complex (shipping fever, pneumonia)
  • Foot rot
  • Calf diphtheria
  • Metritis

Administer intramuscularly for not more than 5 days. Do not inject more than 10 mL per site. Do not use in lactating dairy. Do not administer within 21 days of slaughter.

For swine

In swine, Tylan Injection is approved for the treatment of:

  • Swine arthritis caused by Mycoplasma hyosynovaie
  • Swine pneumonia
  • Swine erysipelas
  • Swine dysentery followed by the appropriate medication in the feed and or water

Administer intramuscularly for not more than 3 days. Do not inject more than 5 mL per site. Do not administer within 14 days of slaughter.
