ONSIOR® tablets (robenacoxib)

Providing cats with the pain relief they need — just where they need it

Could your cat be in pain? It’s hard to tell because most cats are experts at hiding the signs of pain. If something like surgery would be painful for you, it would also be painful for your cat.1 That’s why your veterinarian may treat your cat with a pain medication like ONSIOR® (robenacoxib) tablets after a surgical procedure.

ONSIOR is an excellent option because it

  • Persists longer at sites of inflammation than in the blood
  • Is effective for a full 24 hours with once-a-day dosing
  • Is easy to administer

ONSIOR® (robenacoxib) tablets should not be used in cats that have a hypersensitivity to robenacoxib or known intolerance to NSAIDs. All cats should undergo a thorough history and physical examination before the initiation of NSAID therapy. Do not administer Onsior in conjunction with any other oral or injectable NSAID or corticosteroid. Owners should be advised to observe for signs of potential drug toxicity.

The most common adverse events based post approval experience for Onsior tablets are anorexia, depression/lethargy, vomiting, elevated BUN, elevated creatinine, renal insufficiency/ failure, and diarrhea. Please see the product insert for full prescribing information.

ONSIOR tablets are indicated for the control of postoperative pain and inflammation associated with orthopedic surgery, ovariohysterectomy and castration in cats weighing at least 5.5 lbs and 4 months of age or older, for up to a maximum of 3 days.
